About the Author Once a regular contributor to the garden pages of the Des Moines Register, the Muscatine Journal and the Tampa Tribune, she now writes and takes photos for the Grower's Guide pages of the Brandon News. Her weekly newspaper columns have appeared in various local papers for nearly 25 years.
